The week started off with a huge miracle of teaching a lady named Maria and her son, they both committed to being baptized on May 24th, and this was in the first lesson that they committed to a date :)
Then on Tuesday we had our big transfer meeting, it was one of the most spiritual meetings I have attended during my mission. The meeting was a big roller coaster of emotions, I was so drained at the end of the day. It was so fun to see all my past companions and mission friends all in one place, the last time our whole mission was together was when President and Sister McKee announced that they were returning home. The meeting started off very spiritual with our mission choir singing, then hearing the departing missionaries advice. This last transfer we lost a lot of amazing missionaries, a few zone leaders, sister training leaders, and Elder King one of the AP's. It was really sad to see them leave. After that, they introduced the new missionaries entering the mission, talk about an intimidating day to enter the mission field.
Then, the best part of the meeting came... Good Old Brother Dan Clark stood up to the pulpit and gave an amazing amazing inspirational talk. The whole mission was laughing and then crying together as Dan told some very heart felt stories. After Dan spoke we sang called to serve, which brought everyone to tears, especially the departing missionaries. It was heart wrenching to see the departing missionaries weeping because they realized it was the last time they would sing called to serve as a full-time missionary in the TNM.
After the meeting I had the privilege to eat lunch with Dan and some other missionaries. Dan was so kind to pay for everyone's lunch :) Thanks Dan!!
Through out this week I have talked with many missionaries that have been strongly impacted by Brother Clark's words. Many sisters told me that Dan's talk changed their outlook on their mission and has helped them to be more committed to God's work.
I hope that Y'all have an amazing week (sorry that I didn't have time to write more)
Love,
Hermana K Ayre
